International Poster Competition

In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi's 74th Death Anniversary on 30th January 2022

International Poster Competition 2022

Concept: It is the need of the hour, in order to ensure humanity's continued existence, for us to make a concerted effort at reshaping our lifestyle in tune with a new matrix. Our hitherto egocentric perspective is creating a humanitarian and environmental crisis. To rectify this, we need to be guided by the motto "the good of the individual is contained in the good of all" which has been exemplified by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. By living in harmony with nature, simplicity, moderation and ethical behaviour can become our defining principles.

To make this new perspective come alive, a variety of competitions is organized every year by the Gandhi Research Foundation. This year in january, to commemorate the 74th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi it has been decided to have an International Poster Competition. Given that art is an ideal medium through which we can express ourselves, it can also be used improve and enrich our own lives. Bapu's practice of truth and nonviolence, which inspired the global community, can be our sheet anchor in these artistic creations.

Object: To create an imaginative poster, reflecting our present concerns whose resolution is provided by Mahatma Gandhi's vision.
