Bombay, My dear Bulbul, Your letter. Here is a note for Maina. You must sing in the midst of personal sorrow. Why should it be all joy? My love to you and the whole family. I for one shall not trouble you while you are undergoing this purifying bath. I had many temptations to send the Singer to the frontier, to Sind, to the States, etc. My answer was an emphatic 'no'.
