One Day National Seminar on

"Relevance of Gandhian Values in Management"

 

The Gandhi Studies Centre and Department of Commerce of Maniben Nanavati College are organizing

a One day National Seminar on ‘Relevance of Gandhian Values in Management’

on 29th July 2011 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. 

 

This seminar is open to staff members of different faculties of any discipline.

 

Management experts acknowledge that values are relatively permanent desires that are good in themselves. Such permanent and good desires must be universal principles applicable to human mind irrespective of geographic, social, cultural and economic contexts. Value – based management and value – based personal living, are two sides of the same coin. One cannot be a good manager or a professional or a business person unless one is a good human being first. This seminar focuses these values.

 

Objectives::

  Relevance of values in the present scenario with special reference to Gandhian Values.

  Teachers - as a role model to inculcate values.

  To focus on relevance of value based management techniques as adopted by Gandhiji

This seminar is a must for all faculty members keen on inculcating values in themselves and adopting a value based management in the present global scenario.
