Management students marked Gandhi Jayanti by selling his autobiography

The Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal (BSM), at Tardeo, regularly campaigns Mahatma Gandhi’s Autobiography, “My Experiments with Truth”. As it is a novice cause, the MMS department of Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT) had taken the onus to work in close consort with BSM, to provide momentum in propagating Gandhi’s literature and ideology.
In this endeavor, the students were immensely guided by Dr. T. Prasad and Dr. Dhume of NITIE, Powai. Under Dr. Ankush Sharma, HOD, MMS (VIT) and with the support of Ms. Rasika Raina, Asst.Professor at VIT. The students were charged up to campaign the holy grail of truth across the length and breadth of Mumbai on 30th September and 1st October.
The student coordinators for Gandhigiri - 1.0 , successfully executed the plan they had chalked out. Students of First Year MMS were assigned 1,100 books to campaign into small clans for expediency including streets, railway stations, and corporate offices, among other.
They were first made to read the book before campaigning. The idea behind this was to bring the Gandhian thoughts and ideology in force again, which now seems to be elapsed. This was a great opportunity for the students to have action based learning.
