Right to Information (RTI) - Free Guidance Cell

Former Comissioner of Police, Mr Ribeiro was speaking at the inauguration function of the Right to Information Cell at Gandhi Book Centre at Nana Chowk.

Today, corruption is a cancer that is eating away at society. If we want to say ‘No’ to Corruption, we must know our rights and get the information from the Government and other Departments. The Right to Information is a very important right of every citizen. “To mobilize public opinion and to raise awareness towards creating more transparent and efficient governance, PCGT & Mumbai Sarvodaya Mandal are jointly opening a Free cell on Right to Information (RTI)-2005 Act, said Mr. Julio Ribeiro, former Commissioner of Mumbai Police and the Executive Chairman of PCGT.

Mr Ribeiro was speaking at the inauguration function of the Right to Information Cell at Gandhi Book Centre at Nana Chowk. 

He further said that the Centre will assist the people in filling up the application forms under RTI Act- 2005 and provide free literature. Court fee stamps of Rs. 10/ will be available at the centre. Citizens are welcome to walk into this centre to get the guidance on RTI Act – 2005.

The Right to Information Centre at Gandhi Book Centre, 299,Tardeo Road, Nana Chowk, Near Vegetable Lane, Grant Road (W), Mumbai – 400 007 will remain open for public on every Saturday from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
